Welcome to Denefield
Located on the western edge of Reading and overlooking the beautiful Thames Valley, Denefield is a school where every young person is supported to achieve well and to flourish. We call this Success for Life – helping students to develop the knowledge, skills and character to lead rich, happy and purposeful lives.
We are proud of our broad and ambitious curriculum, and of how hard our students work. Their excellent examination results reflect this commitment. We also offer a varied programme of extra-curricular activities, strong student leadership opportunities and a highly supportive pastoral system. When students leave Denefield, they move on to impressive destinations, including apprenticeships, employment and universities across the country, including prestigious Russell Group universities and Oxbridge.

Our facilities are excellent, including well-equipped classrooms and studios, newly refurbished science laboratories, solar-assisted air conditioning in 30 teaching spaces, and a floodlit all-weather 3G sports pitch.
