Sir Alok Sharma visit

Sir Alok, who was formerly the COP 26 President, toured the school in the company of Glenn, Head Boy, and Jessica, Student Ambassador. Visiting classes in Science, Social Science, Art and Drama, Sir Alok commented on the calm and studious atmosphere around the school, describing it as ‘very impressive’ and ‘fantastic.’

Mr Towill, Headteacher, and Sir Alok then discussed school finances, with Mr Towill emphasising that teachers and support staff members need to be properly paid, and that schools need to be fully funded. Sir Alok is keen to visit the school again and to spend further time with Denefield’s fantastic students.
