We are extremely proud of all our Year 1 students on their excellent A Level and BTEC results. 

Our students have worked incredibly hard from the first day of Year 12 and deserve the excellent grades they have received. 

Eight students achieved AAA or higher in their A Levels: a fantastic achievement. 

A Level results this year

·  24.8% A* - A

·  54.2% A* - B

·  82.4% A* - C

·  98.7% A* - E

BTEC results this year

·  31.5% Distinction*-Distinction

·  68.5% Distinction*-Merit

·  90.7% Distinction*-Pass

Our 82% A*-C pass rate and average grade of B- are strong indicators of how successful Denefield students are.

With such strong results, Denefield students will now progress to a variety of destinations. Three students will take their places at prestigious medical schools to read Medicine. 61% of students have confirmed university places, with 85% at their first-choice university, including several at Russell Group universities.  They will take places on courses from History to Midwifery. 28% have secured prestigious apprenticeships at companies including Bayer and Airbus, and several have places on various programmes at AWE in Aldermaston.

Denefield Sixth Form’s top achievers this year are below:

  • Tanzika Islam (A*A*A*A) will read Medicine at King’s College, London
  • Freddie Brooker (A*AAA) will read Medicine at the University of Birmingham
  • Caitlin Burden (A*AA) will read Criminology and Psychology at the University of Southampton
  • John Griffiths (A*AA) will read English and History at the University of Bristol
  • Alice Jewell (A*AA) will read Law at the University of Southampton
  • Alex Magee (A*AA) will read Law at the University of Southampton
  • Joe Hill (AAA) will read Fine Art at the University of the Arts, London
  • Evelyn Lockhart (AAA) will read for a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at UAL School of Pre-Degree Studies
  • Charlie Stares (A*AC) will read Film Production at the University of Portsmouth
  • Andy Crerar (ABB) will read Medicine at the University of Kent
