Club of the week

At Science club each week, we explore the wider aspects of science around the KS3 curriculum. This ranges from building floating rafts to exploring reversible reactions and elephants' toothpaste. This term we are working on making our own models of the structure of the earth and other planets to display in some of the science rooms!

New this week in the Futures Bulletin

This week is National Careers Week – visit Welcome - National Careers Week for lots of interesting topics and the parent/carers guide, or follow the link in the Futures Bulletin. Also this week; the British Army celebrates International Women’s Day, UoG launches their Summer residentials for Year 10 and 12 students, Thames Hospice work experience for Year 12 students, health and life science experiences at Reading University for Year 10 and 11 students and the hugely beneficial PwC Virtual Insight programme for Year 11 and 12 students.

September 2025

Monday 3 March we received notification from West Berkshire LA, of the students who have applied to Denefield for September 2025.

I would like to thank you for choosing Denefield and assure you that we are all committed to ensuring that all students experience the very best teaching, care and support in all aspects of school life, throughout what we hope will be our seven-year partnership.

The transfer to secondary school is a key moment in a child's education and development, and therefore we work very hard to ensure this transition goes smoothly.

World Book Day 2025

World Book Day was celebrated on Thursday 6 March, with activities in the library at break and lunch, a visit from Welly Boots nursery, a variety of competitions, and staff dressing up as book characters!
