DF50 Fest

On Friday 25 September, we celebrated 50 years of Denefield with DF50 Fest, bringing together current and former students, staff, families and friends of the school.

One of the most special parts of the evening was welcoming back so many former students and members of staff. There were lots of familiar faces, old friends and colleagues reunited, memories shared.

The evening was filled with our photo exhibition, school tours, live music, football, food, refreshments, a fantastic raffle and lots more.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and to all the staff, volunteers, PTFA members, performers, sponsors and supporters who helped make the celebration possible. Have a look at the few glimpses from the evening below.

We will be sharing lots more from DF50 Fest on our Instagram page, so follow us as we continue to look back on the reunions, celebrations and special moments from the evening.

Race for Life

We are excited to be bringing our school community together for Denefield’s Race for Life this October.

On Friday 16 October, students will have the opportunity to get involved, have some fun with their friends and help us raise money for Cancer Research UK and the important work they do.

The day will also be a non-uniform day. Students can come to school in comfortable non-uniform clothing suitable for taking part in the Race for Life activities. We ask for a minimum donation of £2 for non-uniform, although families are very welcome to donate more and support our wider Race for Life fundraising.

There will also be some friendly competition between our four Houses. Kentwood, Langley, Norcot and Sulham will be competing to see which House can raise the most money. Donations can be made more than once, so please keep supporting your House if you can.

When making a donation, please make sure you select the correct House fundraising page and include the student's name and tutor group with your donation. For example: Joe B – 11S2- GPE. This will help us identify donations and keep track of each House's fundraising total.

House donation pages:

Kentwood – Donate to Kentwood
Langley – Donate to Langley
Norcot – Donate to Norcot
Sulham – Donate to Sulham

Anyone who would like to support Denefield's Race for Life but is not donating on behalf of a student can use our general fundraising page: Donate to Denefield's Race for Life.

Headteacher's Open House

Our next Headteacher’s Open House will take place on Monday 19 October, from 5.00pm to 6.00pm.

This session will focus on upcoming changes to our mobile phone policy. Parents/carers are also welcome to raise any other questions or topics they would like to discuss.

Please sign up in advance and submit any questions you would like us to address.

✅ Helmet on and fastened

✅ High‑vis/reflective clothing
