Denefield upcoming events

Year 6 School Tours

A few spaces are still available on our upcoming Year 6 tours.

Whether you joined us for our Open Evening or were unable to attend, these tours are another opportunity for Year 6 families to visit Denefield, explore the school and see what a typical school day looks like.

Tours will take place on selected dates from Monday 28 September to Friday 9 October, with sessions available at 8.50am and 9.50am.

During your visit, you will have the chance to see the school during a normal working day and get a feel for life at Denefield as you consider your secondary school choices.

Spaces are limited, so we encourage families who would like to attend to book their place as soon as possible.

Race for Life

We are excited to be bringing our school community together for Denefield’s Race for Life this October.

On Friday 16 October, students will have the opportunity to get involved, have some fun with their friends and help us raise money for Cancer Research UK and the important work they do.

Race for Life is all about coming together for a shared cause, and we hope as many of our students as possible will take part and support the event. Whether running, jogging or walking, it will be a great opportunity for everyone to get involved and make a difference.

Please save the date and look out for more information over the coming weeks, including details about taking part and fundraising.

Cycling to School – Student Safety Reminder

As the mornings and evenings begin to get darker, we would like to remind students who cycle to school to take extra care and make sure they are travelling safely.

Quick Checklist for Students

✅ Roadworthy push bikes only (no electric assist bikes or scooters)

✅ Helmet on and fastened

✅ High‑vis/reflective clothing

✅ Lights and reflectors (use in low light/dark)

✅ Know your route, junctions, roundabouts, and signals

✅ Dismount at the school gate and lock up in the designated area

Please take a few moments to check your bike and equipment before travelling. Staying visible, prepared and aware of other road users can help make your journey to and from school safer.

For full guidance, please read our Cycling to School Policy here.
