PTA – Expression of Interest

As part of Denefield 50, we are exploring the possibility of setting up a Parent Teacher Association (PTA). A PTA is led by parents/carers and supports the school through fundraising and community events. At this stage, we are simply gauging interest. There is no commitment required.

If you would like to be involved or would like to find out more, please complete the short expression of interest form by clicking the button below.

Key Stage 5 Pride of Denefield Awards Evening

This week, our Year 12 and Year 13 students and their parents/carers were invited into school for the Key Stage 5 Pride of Denefield Awards.

A student from each year group was selected by teaching staff from every faculty to receive an Excellence in Subject Award, recognising their commitment, progress and achievement in their chosen subjects.

In addition, several special awards were presented, including the Extra-Curricular Award for outstanding contribution to activities beyond the classroom, the Sixth Form Award for Resilience, and the prestigious Morrish Cup.

Each award was presented by members of staff who shared thoughtful reflections on the students’ journeys. Drawing on feedback from teaching colleagues, support staff and their own experiences working with the students, they delivered personal and heartfelt tributes that highlighted the dedication, character and achievements of each award winner.

Photos and more details about the awards will be shared in our End-of-term Newsletter. Keep an eye out!

The Academy of Real Assets

Entries are open for our 2026 Academy of Real Assets’ Creative Competition! Kindly sponsored this year by JLL, L&G - Asset Management, Simmons & Simmons, and Valor Real Estate Partners LLP.

We’re asking students across the UK to think creatively about real estate, real assets, the built environment, and the future of our communities with the prompt:

"My Favourite Building…" and we would love you to get involved too!

We’re welcoming submissions in a variety of formats, including:

  • Writing: an essay of up to 800 words maximum, or a poem
  • Film: create a one-minute video.
  • Art: design a piece of artwork.
  • Photograph: capture an image

We will publish the winning entries online and in a professionally designed hardback book, distributed to over 3,000 schools, employers, universities, and the media.

We will also celebrate the winners, parents/ guardians and teachers at our London launch party at Simmons & Simmons’ office on 15th July 2026, where you can meet and connect with members and potential employers. You will be able to receive advice about careers in real estate and real assets, discuss work experience opportunities, and more.

How can YOU get involved?

We would love to support you in making our 2026 Creative Competition the most impactful yet. Here is how you can help:

  • Spread the word
Share the Competition with your friends, parents, and schools, youth clubs, or community organisations in your community.

  • Promote on social media
Boost our message by sharing the Competition on your social media platforms. Your support really does make a significant impact, reaching a wider audience and inspiring others to join in. Your student Competition Pack has full details plus some creative assets (ready to post social graphics and a poster) for you to use.

  • Students and Academy Members (companies) Enter
Members (Academy companies) enter to complement the students’ submissions. The contrast between student and Member thoughts on the same subject makes for a stronger book, and their insights provide a compelling comparison between seasoned wisdom and your fresh ideas.

Why enter?

  • Great on your CV

Universities and employees have said they are looking for more than just great grades but also young people who have taken initiative outside of school and shown interest in the professional world. The Academy has a large cooperate membership that can be put on your CV as a competition winner.

  • Opportunity to showcase your skills

You may not be passionate about the built environment but you are passionate about art, photography, creative writing or film. Its an opportunity to have your work publish and seen across London.

  • Great Chance to Network

Our Book Launch celebration brings our schools parents and members (companies) together. You can speak direct with top firms ask them for insight even find out about work experience. Maybe make a contact for later. It helps us open cooperate doors for you.

All the details you need to enter and share the Competition are in: https://www.acadrealassets.com/competition/
