We have raised £4,957 so far with your support. Help us go further.

As we prepare to celebrate 50 years of Denefield in September 2026, we are inviting our community to help us build a lasting legacy for our students.

Government funding covers the essentials, but it does not provide the extras that enhance students’ experience of school. To mark this milestone, we have launched the Denefield 50 Appeal, with a goal of raising £50,000 to improve student spaces, sports facilities and enrichment opportunities. The School Council will help to prioritise how the funds are used.

Thanks to the generous support of our parents/carers, we have already raised £4,957. This is a fantastic start, and with continued support we can go even further.

Examples of possible improvements include additional outdoor seating and covered social areas, updates to sports facilities, and further investment in extra-curricular clubs.

Every contribution matters. Regular monthly donations of £5, £20 or £100 help us plan ahead, and one-off donations are equally valued. Together, these contributions will support both our current students and those who will join Denefield in the future.

Thank you for your continued support and for helping us make Success for Life a reality for every student.

PTA – Expression of Interest

As part of Denefield 50, we are exploring the possibility of setting up a Parent Teacher Association (PTA). A PTA is led by parents/carers and supports the school through fundraising and community events. At this stage, we are simply gauging interest. There is no commitment required.

If you would like to be involved or would like to find out more, please complete the short expression of interest form by clicking the button below.

Club of the Week

Our Greenpower Club continues to be a brilliant example of teamwork, problem-solving and real-world learning in action. Throughout the year, students design, build and improve an electric race car, developing practical skills in engineering, teamwork and problem-solving.

The team also competes annually in Greenpower international races, putting their hard work to the test against schools from across the UK.

Miss Simpson runs this club every Friday after school from 3.00pm to 4.30pm. Students willing to join can meet her in D&T office.

We have many more exciting extra-curricular clubs. Click the button below to see the timetable.

Year 11 Geography visit to Bristol

This week, our Year 11 Geography students visited Bristol, for their GCSE Geography fieldwork, a key part of their course. During the trip, students explored the urban geography of Bristol, walking from Whapping Wharf to Cabot Circus, a bustling covered shopping centre. The visit brought their in-class learning about Bristol to life. We had two main areas of focus during the day: how Bristol's physical and human environments are interrelated and how environmental quality and land use changes across the city.

Fundraising for WINGS 2026 Scout Camp

Many students from Denefield will be attending WINGS 2026, an international Scout camp, later this year and are currently raising funds to support their trip.

To help with their fundraising, two events will be taking place, details of which can be found on the posters attached to this bulletin. These events are open to the school community and offer a great opportunity to support our students while taking part in fun activities.

Thank you for your continued support.
