School Uniform Tender – Parental Feedback

Denefield’s uniform is designed to be simple, smart and cost-effective. To that end there are three compulsory branded items – the polo shirt, the school jumper and the PE top, along with the Denefield skirt for those who choose to wear it. These items, along with optional branded items, can only be purchased from the school’s official supplier. Other items such as trousers and shorts can be purchased from any supplier provided the items match the school’s uniform policy.

Where schools have a single uniform supplier, they are required to run competitive tendering processes to decide whether to remain with that supplier or move to a different supplier. That is what we are doing now.

We are interested in your views. We would like to know what matters most to you regarding compulsory uniform items, and your views on the current supplier, Price and Buckland. Please complete this short four-question survey by Friday 24 October.

Club of the Week

The club of the week is 3D Printing Club. It is open to all students who are interested in design and technology.

With our new 3D printers, students in this club can learn how to design and create their own 3D models. The club helps them develop creativity, problem-solving and digital design skills while bringing their ideas to life.

3D Printing club runs every Tuesday for Year 7s from 1.00pm to 1.30pm in M106 and every Wednesday for Years 8,9,10 and 11 at the same time and same place. Students wishing to join the club can meet and discuss with Miss Simpson in M106.

We have many more exciting extra-curricular clubs. Click the button below to see the timetable.

A Reminder about Bike Security

We would like to remind all the parents/carers to encourage students to lock their bikes securely when bringing them to school. While our site team keeps a close eye on the bike sheds, we cannot take responsibility for any loss or damage to bikes left on the premises.

Please ensure your child brings a suitable lock and secures their bike safely each day. Thank you for your continued support in helping us keep our school site safe for everyone.

Celebrating 50 Years of Denefield 1976-2026

In 2026, Denefield School will proudly celebrate 50 years of learning, growth and excellence. For five decades, our students and staff have shaped a school built on strong character values and a belief in success for life.

To help us mark this special occasion, we want to hear from those who have been part of Denefield’s journey. Whether you or someone you know is a former student, a long-serving member of staff, or a parent with stories to share, we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for memories, photos, videos, stories, achievements etc.

Big or small, every memory will help us tell the story of Denefield. Reach out to us via SAL@denefield.org.uk with your stories.

Let us celebrate Denefield together.

The Great Denefield Drawing Challenge

This term, four talented students represented their Houses in the final of The Great Denefield Drawing Challenge, a competition that tested their focus, creativity and skill.

Each finalist was given only 30 minutes to create a live portrait of Mr Adango, Norcot Deputy Head of House, using only charcoal and pencil.

The finalists; Ivan (Kentwood), Izzy (Langley), Maya (Sulham) and Maham (Norcot) all produced excellent portraits that impressed staff and judges alike. After much consideration, Maham (Year 10, Norcot) was announced as this year’s champion, with Izzy (Langley) as the runner-up.

The event was a great celebration of artistic talent and friendly competition between Houses. Well done to all the finalists for their creativity, and thank you to Mr Nicholls for organising such an inspiring challenge.

The House standings after this competition are as follows:
