Maintaining regular, open communication and consultation with parents/carers is important to us and our Parents’ Forum is one way of achieving this. Our Parents’ Forum was set up in 2009 to encourage more parents to get involved in supporting their child’s education and has been running successfully ever since.
The Parents’ Forum is a platform for parents/carers to ask questions, be consulted on school policy and new initiatives and give views. Many topics have been discussed in the past and examples include: new assessment system and reporting to parents, school uniform, Headteacher recruitment, school meals and our behaviour policy.
Every parent/carer with a child at school is warmly invited to attend each meeting. School leaders and a governor will be present and any issues raised are formally considered by the Governing Body. Copies of minutes are published on the school website.
More information about the workings of the Parents’ Forum can be found in the document titled 'What is the role of the Parents’ Forum?'.
Meeting dates for this academic year are: 23 October 2019 - postponed, 11 February 2020 and 19 May 2020. All meetings start at 7.00pm.
