Welcome to Langley House
The Langley House logo is a great representation of the character of our students and staff and the Langley Lion was designed by our students.
As a house, our ultimate goal is to provide a supportive safe environment, to ensure the well-being and academic success of all our students. We pride ourselves in all our successes, celebrating them weekly in assembly. Langley students are proud to share and celebrate their accomplishments with their peers and staff.
Langley House is named after the southern sector of Tilehurst, with Langley Hill running from the main thoroughfare through the Thames Valley to the gates of Denefield, linking up with Sulham, Norcot and Kentwood hills, the names of the other three houses.
The Langley House team work closely with the team of 12 conscientious tutors, the house captains and the house council to promote a safe, positive learning environment for all. Within the 12 tutor groups, two are Sixth Form groups and ten are vertical tutor groups across Years 7-11. We feel this allows for new friendships to develop with students up to five years their senior or junior and foster a greater community spirit. This has proven invaluable to the development of all students, both personally and academically.
Langley House has two house charities:
Duchess of Kent
Our tutor time schedule is:

This year, there are a number of opportunities for students to get involved in student leadership roles across the house and all subject areas, which will give them the opportunity to take the lead in a variety of activities within this thriving community.
