Welcome to Kentwood House
Kentwood House is named after Kentwood Manor, one of four 15th Century manors that were joined to become Tilehurst parish in 1832.
Students in Kentwood House have a history of having the best attendance in school; we are proud to be owners of the attendance cup for four years consecutively and Kentwood students are expected to uphold this excellent attendance. In addition, students are expected to demonstrate they are part of a whole school community by exhibiting the CHARACTER values, aiming to excel and engaging in a range of extra-curricular activities.
Students work hard to organise a variety on fundraising activities to support their charities; for example Autumn Fayres, German Christmas Markets, the sale of charity candy canes at Christmas and chocolate kisses for Valentines.
Our House Charities are:
Mr Cancer, My Choices - a charity very dear to Mrs Edwards’s heart which supports individuals in Berkshire with Cancer diagnosis and offers alternative healing therapies anda better quality of life.
Volunteer West Africa - an NGO supporting a Ghanaian fishing village to rebuild a sustainable life following ecologocal disaster
Our tutor time schedule is:

In addition, tutor groups compete to win the weekly attendance, house points and charity challenges taking pride in upholding the school values
Alongside being a student ambassador, Kentwood students can become involved in house sports teams for some fun inter-house rivalry, they have the opportunity to become a house council member and arrange a multitude of fundraising initiatives. Students are invited to take part of a whole host of extra-curricular activities, school productions, dance shows and sports teams in which they can not only represent the school, but be an ambassador for Kentwood leading the house to success.
