The aim of the PE and Health department is to give students opportunities in a wide variety of sports, raise their aspirations and guide them to have healthy active lifestyles.
Students will gain a knowledge of sport and will also learn about their bodies, nutrition and different types of exercise.
We instil many of the CHARACTER values into our students as well as the importance of teamwork and discipline, ensuring that students make progress whilst having fun.
In Key Stage 3 PE we cover a range of sports that include rugby union, hockey, association football, netball, cricket, athletics, basketball, badminton, volleyball, gymnastics, trampolining, table tennis, rounders, dance, handball, volleyball, health related fitness and much more.
We aim to ensure our students have a positive experience in all sports and learn the fundamental skills and rules of each game in the hope that we will inspire them to pursue at least one of them out of school.
