All students follow a broad and balanced curriculum; please click here for further details.
In addition, students will follow differentiated curriculum pathways based on prior attainment. These pathways will be made up of four option subjects. Option subjects are taught for five hours per cycle.
The option choices for 2016-17 encompass both academic and vocational qualifications and include: art & design, business studies, computing, drama, German, geography, graphics, health & social care, history, information technology, media studies, music, physical education, philosophy & ethics, product design, textiles and Spanish.
Students are taught in ability groups for English, maths and science.
Ability groups are determined using prior attainment and internal assessment data. Curriculum and subject leaders regularly review groupings following assessments and at progress meetings.
All other subjects are taught in mixed-ability groups.
