An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time, experienced Finance Officer to join Denefield School’s finance team. Accountancy or book keeping qualifications (or part qualified) are desirable but qualification by experience will also be considered.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a financial role, including experience of sales and purchase ledgers (including credit control), month and year end closure, financial accounting packages and bank account administration. In addition to this, strong communication skills and an ability to prioritise tasks whilst remaining calm under pressure, are essential in this busy office. The successful candidate will be expected to use their initiative, have a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to making a positive contribution to the achievement of the school’s aims and CHARACTER values. In addition, they must demonstrate an ability to fulfil all aspects of the role with confidence through the medium of English.
In addition to a generous holiday entitlement of 35 days (including bank holidays), rising to 40 days after 5 years’ service, staff who opt into the Local Government Pension Scheme will receive an employer contribution, currently set at 16.6% of salary.
