37 hours per week, term time only plus two inset days
APT&C Scale G – £22,401 - 28,221 (actual salary £19,074 - £24,030)
Do you have experience of facilitating student intervention programmes for individuals and small groups? Could you enable students to access an appropriate curriculum, thereby raising their motivation and self-esteem? Would you enjoy the challenge of developing and leading an Alternative Learning Programme for students with specific barriers to learning? If you answered yes to some or all of these questions then we would love to meet you.
We are looking to appoint an Alternative Learning Programme Co-ordinator (ALPC). This post will be based within the Edison Centre, Denefield’s Learning Support Centre, reporting to our Assistant Head with responsibility for our SEND students. The ALPC is responsible for the learning and progress of our students who require additional support to access and engage in the mainstream environment. By providing a specially tailored Alternative Learning Programme, the ALPC helps these students with their academic, social and emotional needs.
The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, determination, patience, good humour, flexibility and the ability to show initiative. Candidates will respect and promote the school’s ethos and CHARACTER values and share our ambition that all students become successful learners, confident individuals and responsible citizens.
