Are you an outstanding teacher who wants to make a real difference to children’s lives? This position offers an exciting opportunity for an inspirational teacher/leader who is passionate about the importance of academic guidance as a key to success and raising standards in schools. The successful candidate will work within a newly formed guidance team and will need to show the potential to lead a team of tutors through rapid change. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their ability to raise standards by supporting and challenging students and colleagues. You will possess strong interpersonal skills; drive, determination to ensure students achieve. Cover Manager
APT & C scale G Point 24 – 31 £20 652 - £26 016 pro rata
37 hours per week term time only + 5 inset days

We would like to appoint a Cover Manager to lead and develop our professional team of cover supervisors. You will be responsible for efficiently managing the cover of lessons on a daily basis, for ensuring that the quality of cover lessons is consistently high and for covering lessons when required.
You need initiative, flexibility, good organisational skills and the ability to lead a team. As part of the role, you will need to build strong working relationships with the cover supervisors and with outside teacher supply agencies to ensure the quality of cover is high and meets the needs of the school. Using our IT system you will set cover on a daily basis and be involved in analysing cover and reporting to the senior leadership team. Experience of working with young people would be useful, but this is not essential. An early start is required by 7.30am each morning, as you receive information necessary for you to plan cover for the day.
