The first Denefield parents' council meeting was held on 31st March 2009. Around 20 parents attended the meeting.
Glyn Whiteford, Head Teacher, and Jenny Pickett, Chair of Governors opened the meeting with a brief talk about parents’ councils as a useful a means of two way communication.
Liz Woodhouse, a parent, spoke next about her experiences as a member of a parents’ council at Battle Primary, whilst the school is in Special Measures.
